Fraser Macdonald, an assistant bin loader for three years, and 2008 Fine Art graduate, has established the 'Garbologist' movement by setting up a headquarters at Perth & Kinross Environment Services Friarton Depot.

This HQ provided the focal point for his observations of the daily activity of 'The Garbologists', uncovering the processes of contemporary art but also the beauty in what is commonly misconceived as a grim working environment of rubbish.

Fraser worked with colleagues at Friarton and visitors to the site to think about how the 'Garbologists' can be a workers collective run like an art movement.

The project took place between July 2009 and July 2010.
